Privacy

Updated 26 October 2026

Notelo is a notepad that runs in your browser. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.

Your notes

Everything you write is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to Notelo or anyone else. Notes stay until you delete them or clear this site's data in your browser. Clearing the data deletes them for good, so download a copy of anything you want to keep.

Voice typing

Voice typing uses the speech recognition built into your browser. While the microphone is on, your browser sends the audio to its speech service to turn it into text: Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, Apple for Safari. Their privacy policies cover that audio. Notelo never receives, records or stores it. The microphone is only used while the button shows Stop.

Fonts and hosting

Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's font servers. The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the service.

Settings and practice progress

Your theme, font, text size and lesson progress are saved in your browser's local storage, next to your notes.
